The alias '/rwt-resources' is already in use. [message #1091355]

Hey,

I'm running into the error message, shown in the title when launching an emf editor in RAP.
The problem is reproducible quite easily:
Im running Eclipse Kepler with RAP 2.1. An EntryPoint Extension, pointing to my IApplication implementation is added to the manifest and the launch configuration is just adjusted in terms of the servlet path (e.g. EntryPointPath?startup=ApplicationID)

Attempts to solve this problem:
- It seems that the most simple solution is to set a custom contextPath in the launch configuration. But that doesn't show any effect.

- The RAP/FAQ suggest a simple solution under 5.3. Unfortunately I don't know whether I am doing something wrong, but the application configuration seems to be called long after the error is thrown.

For both solutions, the contextName is null when debugging the ApplicationLauncherImpl.

Can anyone reproduce this problem?
I would appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

Hi Rene,
please attach your plugin.xml (where entrypoints/application extensions
are specified). Do you have second application registered on the same
servlet path?

Hey,

Thank you for this quick reply!

I'm not aware of running any other applications registered on the same servlet path.
Anyway, I'm running a workbench application. Could that be a useful hint?

Hi Rene,
for me your plugin.xml looks fine. You mentioned something about
application configuration??!! Do you have additional application
configuration or you mean the internal WorkbenchApplicationConfigurator?

It was one of my attempts to solve the problem by setting the context path via an application configuration. I was not sure about the proper use. I tried to set the contex path both with a service component with a contextPath property and an application configuration with application.addAtribute("contextPath","pathname")

But that approach did not work so I returned to the initial state as described in my initial post

Yes, that was my first attempt. The context path appears in the application url in the browser but the exception remains.

Edit: I am not even for 100% sure, that changing the contextpath solves my initial Problem.

I am just refering to Point 5.3 of the RAP FAQ's

Rene,
please post the output of osgi "ss" command. Maybe you have some bundles
(demo bundles) that start another workbench application.

I guess that was the essential hint. Thank you very much!

I already removed all 'demo' bundles from my run config but I overlooked the 'org.eclipse.rap.examples' and 'org.eclipse.rap.examples.pages'. What a stupid and timeconsuming mistake..
