Use Eclipse editor for Ruby [message #1065186] Mon, 24 June 2013 12:10 Go to next message

I find myself in need of creating and maintaining Chef recipes. I do
__not__ wish to perform actual Ruby development.

I've looked around for a plug-in that will give me some syntax coloring,
but it seems that Ruby wants me hook, line and sinker--either Aptana or
some other major disruption to Eclipse that's undesirable.

All I wish to do is see a little syntax coloring in Ruby when I have to
read or edit these recipes. I guess I could just tell Eclipse to launch
GEdit or Vim, but I thought I'd ask.

Is there a 10-cent (instead of a $100) solution?

Thanks.
