I am using Eclipse helios in Ubuntu OS. It crashed and did not start up again. The .metadata/.log file had the following error: "An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.eclipse.core.resources (65)" followed by a lot of exceptions.

The common solution suggested for the above error was to delete .snap file in .metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.snap. That worked for restarting eclipse, but the project data was lost. Since I did not setup the project dependencies, I am clueless to set it up again. Is there any way to do that from the existing metadata. Thanks in advance for any help!!

If your projects are all still in some workspace somewhere you can
always import existing projects from the file system (the folder where
you have the workspace) into a new workspace.
