Hello,
I would like to know how to make a transformation between mdl file and Ecore file.
I wrote somewhere that it is possible to create a EMF project by using .mdl file but I don't know how to start.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

By the way, do you know how to convert Ecore file into UML file.
I think that there is a command in the menu "Sample Ecore Editor" but I don't know which one.

Félix,

In Generator you can export the model to UML2 if you have UML2 installed.

Merks,

I followed that tutorial. It's working for the "library.mdl" file they gave but when I'm using my own mdl file, I have got an Error.

You will find attached two pictures: --> one is named EMF_error1.jpg is corresponding for the "gedatamodel.mdl"

--> The other is named EMF_error2.jpg for my own mdl file named "datamodel.mdl".

I have a NullPointerException in EMF_Error1.jpg, but that model ("gedatamodel.mdl") is also used with other tools to generate a java and C++ file.

For the datamodel.mdl , they ask me to specify the symbol locations and try loading again. See EMF_ERROR2.jpg

Actually, those models are also used somewhere else without any warming or error. I cannot modify it and I must use it as is.

Félix,

I don't see any attachments and in any case this old Rose stuff isn't
something we'll support further so if you say you can't change the file
(why not?) and setting paths doesn't solve your problems (that's
generally the cause of problems) then it's just not going to work.

Merks,

Do you know another method which makes possible transformation between MDL Model to UML Model, please?
