How change the name of an Task ? [message #1047159] Mon, 22 April 2013 17:48 Go to next message

Hello,

in the documentation slides is shown an Attribute "Name".
In BPNM2 Editor Version 0.2.5.201304221846 I can't see/reproduce that,
for example: a user task is named "User Task 1", a manualTask is named "Manual Task 1", and I can't change this name in the graphical editor...

(If I change the name in the XMI, it is displayed properly. But this cannot be the prefered method to change the name !)

Please help

Hmm, do you have the Properties View open? This is where all of the non-graphical attributes for the bpmn2 elements are edited.

Yes, I open the Property-Window.

Oh, now I see it.

In the pop-UP-Window I did not see it.

Sorry, I see again the editor and quit of the full view of the editor, and I can change the name of the elements in the properties tab under the editor.

This should really be implemented as a "Direct Edit" feature in graphiti, so you can change the Task name, as well as other labels (e.g. on Flows, Gateways and Events) directly on the drawing canvas instead of having to switch to the Property Sheet.

Can you please fill out an enhancement request on bugzilla, here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=BPMN2Modeler

Thanks!
Bob
