Hi,

I just downloaded Eclipse via the Ubuntu Software center. I also added the CDT plug in. I can't find the marketplace button in the help menu. I try to download this file : http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/indigo/ using the help->Install new software menu,
but eclipse show me this error message :
Quote:
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.

I have few questions :
- how can I access the marketplace button within the eclipse menu ?
- why are we downloading eclipse 3.8 with the ubuntu Software center while it's not the most up to date version (which is 4.2) ?
- I am looking for a plug-in which improve the eclipse c++ class generator of CDT (right click on folder->new->Class). Can I find one ?

If you have an idea about how to install a plug in without the marketplace I'm interested too. And if you know how to upgrade eclipse from 3.8 to 4.2, I'm interested too.
thanks

First, discard the Eclipse you downloaded and go get a proper one from
eclipse.org. NEVER install Eclipse from a distro unless you're running
on such a weird platform that you can't do otherwise.

If you search back through this forum's history, you'd discover that I'm
not the only one warning against using Ubuntu Software Center to get
Eclipse.

Best of luck.
