Job Description:

Ambric is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Software Engineer to
help develop the next generation of software design and development tools
for our Eclipse-based IDE. Successful candidates will have excellent
development skills, a thorough understanding of Java and the desire to work
within an Agile development process.





Responsibilities:

a.. Develop new tool capabilities for the Eclipse framework to provide
"best in class" IDE support whether the user is working with one or hundreds
of processors.
b.. Work as a member of a 2 - 3 person team to support the full
development lifecycle including specification, task estimation, design,
coding, unit-testing, debugging, documentation and support.


Qualifications:

a.. A strong Java development background.
b.. Recent experience delivering products based on the Eclipse framework.
c.. Experience with Eclipse RCP is a plus.
d.. Thorough understanding of modern software engineering principles and
techniques.
e.. Prior experience developing applications or tools with a focus on user
interface development and design.
f.. Track record of completing assignments on time and with exceptional
quality.
g.. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
h.. Experience with Electronic Design Automation tools is a plus
i.. Knowledge of CVS, Subversion or other revision control system
j.. Familiar with Bugzilla or other defect tracking tool.
k.. Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems
l.. Desire to be part of a highly productive, dynamic team
m.. Organized and detail-oriented personality
n.. Experience with the ANT build tool and JUNIT unit-test framework is a
plus
o.. Previous experience in an Agile development environment is a plus.
