Session timeout causes 403 [message #1032922] Wed, 03 April 2013 12:11 Go to next message

We recently moved up to RAP 2.0 from RAP 1.4.

We deploy to Tomcat (sitting behind IIS).

Now when my session times out the screen changes to a 403 page.

I've run this on a local tomcat instance without IIS and I get the normal session timeout dialog.

Any ideas on why IIS would throw a kink on session timeout?

Thanks,
Chris Boerger

Hi Chris,

I don't have any experience with IIE and I wonder how it could manage to
"change the screen" to a 403 page when the clients only sends an Ajax
request. As far as I know, the RAP 2.0 web client does not reload the
page as a result of any Ajax response (for some context, see [1]).

Could you provide some more info regarding the requests / responses
involved in this scenario?

Regards, Ralf
