Attempting to develop a web page with JavaScript.I [message #1023334] Sun, 24 March 2013 00:58
Eclipse User
I am attempting to use Eclipse to develop a web page that uses
JavaScript. I am running Mac OS X, 10.8.3, and Eclipse Juno Service
Release 1.

I use some inline JavaScript and some external files. Some of this
works as it did in an earlier version of the web page, but some of it
seems not to.

I have had trouble using the JavaScript debugger, and am trying to put
in log commands to see if my JavaScript functions are actually being
called. A typical log command is
console.log("receive step %d", num);
where "num" has a numeric value.

I have opened the "Console View," but nothing shows. Is there something
I must do, to connect the JavaScript object "console" with the "Console
View"?

Thanks in advance for any help.
