Hi all,
I'm currently working on a research project and i must compare GMF vs MetaEdit+
I have already search some comparison beetween them. And just found MegaEdit+ better
than GMF for Industry. Can't find objective comparison. They all glorify MetaEdit+
So i want to ask u, what kind of differences exists between this 2, what is the The
strengths of the GMF(topics: Graphical, Operations, Constraints).

There's a useful comparison by Eclipse modeling project committers of GMF, Obeo, RSA, GME and MetaEdit+: tinyurl.com/gerard12 . To make the comparison objective rather than just opinions, they implemented the same language in all the tools, giving scores for the results and timing how long it took.

Disclaimer: I am the tech lead of Obeo Designer.
You are right, Obeo Designer is not free, although many of its parts are
(for example Acceleo). It uses GMF Runtime (not the Tooling part) at
least for the graphical diagrams support.
It is a generic tool with which you can create your own modelers for
your Domain Specific Models using a dynamic approach. You describe how
you want your modelers to look and behave in a configuration file (which
is it itself a model) and the tool adapts dynamically.
Have a look at UML Designer [1] (which uses Obeo Designer underneath but
is free), to get an idea of what is possible. Feel free to contact me

PS: "Obeo" is the name of the company, "Obeo Designer" the name of the
product.
