I am currently thinking of migrating a GEF project to Graphiti but I am not totally convinced by Graphiti.

Can sb illustrate some aspects in which Graphiti is better them GEF?Just a few, please!

Thanks!

I have never had an experience with GEF. But I assure you, building a simple diagram editor with Graphiti will be simpler than using GEF.
Graphiti utilizes GEF to implements common Diagram Editor pattern such as Canvas, palette, toolbar, save to image, etc.
For a simple/straightforward use, Graphiti can save a lot of time. But, if you want to code the whole Diagram Editor and all of its component, I think GEF is the right platform.
Sorry for not giving a concrete comparison, me myself is a Graphiti novice. Novice's testimony sometime shows how easy a platform is learned by even a beginner.
Good luck,

Emerson
