I have a Java web application and XMLRPC server that runs on Tomcat. If I use Ant to build the application and "deploy" it on from the management area of Tomcat, I can connect to the XMLRPC server using Python and the relevant Kerberos packages (using the credentials from my current windows network session). I can also connect to the webserver but this uses NTLM authentication.

If I launch the application in debug mode from Eclipse, I cannot connect to the XMLRPC server like I do from a standalone Tomcat service.

I'm not 100% certain as to what is going on or what I am doing, other than there is a difference between standalone Tomcat and a version launched by Eclipse.

Any help on solving this issue would be great, I do not even know where to start debugging. Someone has suggest a bug, but this was raised in 2009.
