Is there Git ArchiveCommand available in JGit?

What I 'm trying to do is download the contents of a git repository for a given branch / tag / commit.

The CloneCommand does not support this, and I think normally this would involve the git archive command.

jgit's command line client got support for archve recently, but it's not yet avalable in jgit library and egit.

Do you if there is a plan supporting this in jgit and how to track progress on that?

I didn't find a corresponding enhancement request in Bugzilla. Feel free to create
one for JGit.
