Project deployment over FTP [message #1001744] Thu, 17 January 2013 05:13 Go to next message

Hi All,

Complete noob here so I apologise as this will have been discussed loads!

I am hoping to use TM as a plugin that will allow me to modify project files locally and upload changes via FTP.

I have followed steps to create a new FTP connection, specify a remote folder and the import into a specific project. Done.

What I do not understand is how I deploy changes from that project. So when I edit a file, I can save it locally, but I also want to have an option to 'save locally and push to remote server' or something similar.

Is this the right plugin for that?

TIA

Hi Bed,

Via the FTP-base RSE connection, you should be able to edit and save remote
files such that the edits automatically get pushed to the server. Is this
not working for you? Have you tried using SSH (i.e. SSH Only connections)?
