How do I tell VE to discard its cache? [message #144305] Wed, 02 April 2008 09:05 Go to next message

Sometimes I change a bean or its BeanInfo, but the VE doesn't seem to see my change.

Project -> clean doesn't help.
Introspector.flushCaches() doesn't help.

Closing and reopening Eclipse (actually IBM RAD) does solve he problem.

My guess is that VE or the Introspector has a cache somewhere, and I have to tell VE to discard it.

How do I tell VE to discard this cache and recognize my changes?

Thanks,
Eli

A little complicated, but yes there is a way:

1) Open a VE then close it and all other open VE's (if any)
2) Do Project->Clean All...
3) Wait for the build to finish
4) Reopen the VE.
