Never tried that before, but technically it should be possible. The editors for example are controls.

If you simply need a checkbox in your row header, why not using the NatTable CheckboxPainter like you would do in any other cell? Technically there is no difference between cells in the row header or in the body. It is mainly the region that differs. So you can do within a row header the same stuff like you can do in the body.
