Viewing Stackframes in hprof dumps [message #990283] Tue, 11 December 2012 12:28 Go to next message

Hi!

I've read with delight that it is possible to have a debugger-like view of all the running threads, because newer JVMs include stack info in hprof heap dumps.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work, even though the JVM is 1.6.35 (32 Bit), the info is simply missing from the thread details view. Memory Analyzer version is 1.1.0 I think. Any idea what went wrong?

Best regards,
Michael

It should work. Is a file with a .threads extension created by MAT as it builds all its index files? What is in that file?
