Utilizing Graphiti Diagrams [message #989341] Wed, 05 December 2012 12:34 Go to next message

Hello.
I have a EMF/GEF based modelling tool. Now for some reason I cannot utilize Graphiti as I would have to rewrite my complete tool.

Now the question I have is can I just utilize the Graphiti diagrams like (RoundedRectangle etc) instead of the Draw2D figures I am currently using.

Is there a way I can initialize/extract Draw2D figures from the Graphiti node?

John,

the Graphiti shapes are not part of the API, but technically it would be
possible to use them...

The question is what you would like to achieve by doing that? The Graphiti
shapes are build to be used within the framework and I'm not sure which
effects you might get while trying to use them elsewhere.

Well I already Have my Modeler in place but I would be interested in introducing the Graphiti style ContextMenus.

I'm afraid that will be quite hard to extract...
