In our project the e4 client will have to communicate with a Virgo server. It's (about) impossible to use RMI remoting with Virgo, so we need an alternative. We're looking for some example code that illustrates how such non RMI remoting can be implemented. The best I could find is: http://angelozerr.wordpress.com/2012/04/05/eclipse_spring_step0/
But that example is e3-based, and porting it to e4 is rather challenging.
