When I type a tab, spaces are inserted, even after setup [message #988261] |

Hey guys.
I've tried setting up Preferences to have tabs as tabs, but it doesn't work.
And I need this feature so I can use Eclipse instead of Dreamweaver, which is the classic software in here.
The same way, how can I setup the CTRL+SHIFT+F feature, so tabs are not replaced by spaces, which f***s up the files for comparison.
Thanks for your help, I really don't wanna leave Eclipse.

For which editor in particular are you wanting this? It seems to me
different editors can use different preferences. For Java, for example,
the formatter's Indentation preferences are the important thing so even
if I have a preference for the text editor not to turn tabs into spaces,
the Java editor will still do that (and it seems even the Text editor
opened on a .java file will still do that).
