[CDO] CDO Migrate and EMF Model Change Support [message #988212] Wed, 28 November 2012 15:32 Go to next message

Hello,

I have a question that is related to the CDO Migrate functionality. I am working on a project that already has a large EMF model that is morphing a lot lately. I have used the CDO Migration (by Reflection) functionality to Migrate our EMF .genmodel file.

My question is this. If we need to add or change things in our ecore model, is it simple enough to regenerate? We just update our .core file, do another CDO Migrate on the .genmodel file and regenerate, correct? The codebase should be updated with our changes. Should it be as simple as that?

Thanks
-Andy

Even simpler: All GenModel settings that are changed by the migrator tool are GenModel-wide. No need to do anything but
regenerate after Ecore changes ;-)
