fyi: problem with WPT + BIRT [message #141014]

In case this hasn't already been pointed out ...

I've been having major problems with creating web services via WTP so I did
a clean install of the all-in-one WTP and BIRT 1.0.1 (my app uses features
from both). At that point I tried to just run the bottom up tutorial with
converter.java and the wizard gives a class not found error for
wtp.Converter. I deleted everything and installed just the WTP and it
works.

I also tried using WTP 1.0M8 with and without BIRT with the same results.

Hopefully eclipse projects will get compatible with each other sometime soon
so there won't be a need to manage multiple eclipse installations.

We're working out these problem whenever they're discovered. Please open a
bug report to ensure this specific problem is dealt with.

Is Birt2.0M1 have the same problems or doe sthis relase fix the problems that you report?

The reason I am asking is that there is no details with the release..at least on the download page

Hi Fred,

I'm on a really tight schedule so for now I just created two independent
eclipse installations which works for me. I doubt that I will have time to
take a look at BIRT2 for at least a few weeks.
