There are no entries generated in the eclipse log when this happens.
I click on Monitor because I get the error up the top saying "[Monitor]:
The launch requires at least one data collector to be selected".

Hi Antony,
Did you download TPTP using update manager? or all-in-one?
There may be something wrong with the Agent Controller(AC) auto setup.
Please try
the following to quickly to test the AC setup of your driver.
Before you do anything, shut down Eclipse, and make sure there is no
dangling process of java.exe nor ACServer.exe
If you are using an TPTP all-in-one driver, go to
Eclipse\dropins\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.ac .win_ia32_4.4.1.v200806171132\agent_controller\bin,
If you are using update manager, go to
Eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.tptp.platform.ac.win_ia32_4.4.1. v200806171132\agent_controller\bin,
run the following command:
SetConfig.bat
keep all default value (simply press enter to use default in input prompt)
when done, try with following command:
ACServer.exe
and this should manually startup an AC with no error message prompt.
If everything run okay so far, leave ACServer.exe running and try launch
Eclipse and open and monitor
tab again.
Also, what JVM are you using and shown in SetConfig.bat command?
(java -version)
