Hi -
I have some trouble setting up Profiling and don't find relevant
information desipite googling for several hours...
Env: Win XP; 4GB; Eclipse 3.3; Java 1.5; Profiling on JUnit tests.
1 - Trying the Integrated Agent. Running out of Heap whatever I do (size
1.5GB...). It appears to be collecting just anything. I am appraently
unable to figure out how to define a filters.txt to be recognized by the
Integrated Agent.
2 - Trying the Stand Alone Agent (setup ran fine):
C:\Dev\agntctrl.win_ia32-TPTP-4.4.1\bin>ACServer.exe
Error starting transport layers, Agent controller exiting.
See servicelog.log for error report.

Any help much appreciated. My preference would be to get the integrated
agent working.
Thanks a lot.

It looks like there was a zombie ACServer running. Killed in task mgr now
can start it. That gives me something to continue tinkering at least...
Still would prefer being able to use the Integrated monitor and being able
to define a filters file...
Thanks.

My experience is the same. I've had nothing but frustration trying to
get TPTP to profile my Eclipse plugins/RCP, using both 3.3 and 3.4 -
nothing but frustration.
And *I* know what I'm doing (in terms of using and developing for
Eclipse) - I can't imagine what someone who is less experienced with
Eclipse would go through.
