Maven-Plugin for offline-installation? [message #11422] Fri, 18 July 2008 10:27 Go to next message

Hello

I have an eclipse installation on a pc without direct internet access. Now
I want to use the maven plugin (local maven repository). How can I
download the newest version of the plugin? There are only URLs für remote
update sites which requires an internet connection.

ok - I could use a "naked" eclipse on a pc with internet connection, build
a filelist, install the plugin, build the filelist again and make a diff.
Is a bit messy.

Other plugins have a simple download link für offline installation or to
build an offline "remote" site (on a local server in an protected lan).

Thanks for your help

Erwin,

You can mirror m2e update site to your local system (see [1] for
details) and then use the mirror to install m2e. Please submit JIRA
enhancement request if you'd prefer m2e to provide packaged update site
download.

Hi Igor

That was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Many thanks. I have googled for
such a mirroring feature but apparently used the wrong keywords...
