Subversive installed under Galileo no longer lets me commit code under Helios [message #900353] Mon, 06 August 2012 11:21 Go to next message

Up until today I have been using Eclipse Galileo. Whilst using Galileo I installed the subversive version control software and this worked well.

However, today I upgraded my Ubuntu LINUX OS to version 11.10 and it has upgraded me to Eclipse Helios.

To submit code to my local SVN repository, I used to right-click on my project and choose 'Team' -> 'Commit'.

But now if I right-click on my project I can only get 'Team' -> 'Apply Patch...'

What is the patch and where can I find it? How can I use Helios with Subversive and carry on commiting code?

It sounds as if you got Eclipse from the Ubuntu Software Center. If so,
discard it and get Eclipse from eclipse.org. Then re-install Subclipse
or Subversive. If you want help, I can offer
http://www.javahotchocolate.com/tutorials/subclipse.html. Or come back
here for help. There's also an Eclipse Subversive forum.
