We develop an RCP-application based on Eclipse 3.2, which does not provide p2 support.

We are developing a new version of this RCP, using Eclipse 3.7.

This RCP plugins are updatable through an update site, but the core RCP plugins are not.

Is there a way to add p2 files to this RCP as a regular update from my update site and then use them to install a brand new RCP?
