How to keep Java editor from auto scrolling? [message #895944] Mon, 16 July 2012 11:29 Go to next message

I don't know what this option is or how to disable it. All I know is it is very annoying. It seems that certain edits cause the Java editor in Eclipse to scroll up or down.

For example, in an already existing class file, if I begin typing a new method at the bottom of the editor, Eclipse will auto scroll the editor so that the method is now at the top of the page.

Anyone know how I can turn this "feature" off?

Thanks,
Brandon

well I have never seen this issue while editing in Eclipse. must be some option which gets enabled accidentally. There one option called "toggle breadcrumb" in second bar from top which brings any method or code block into view port if selected, not sure if that helps but you can try.
