Linux text annotations (Juno) [message #893653] Thu, 05 July 2012 02:44 Go to next message

Hello Eclipse comrades,

I recently installed the new "Juno" release of Eclipse and I am now missing the text annotations for warnings and errors.

I tried changing the settings under General/Editors/Text Editors/Annotations from "Native Problem Underline" to "Underline", but to no avail. It's only the missing underline, the quick fix context menu works fine when hovering over the item that's being warned about.

It's the regular EE distribution Build id: 20120614-1722 x86-64, Java 1.6.0_33, Arch Linux.

I first suspected this might have something to do with oxygen-gtk, a gtk theme I use to make GTK apps blend in better with my KDE desktop, but even after disabling oxygen-gtk (uuuurgh, ugly!), this behavior persists.

Have other users experienced this? How can I fix this?

Thank you very much in advance! Best regards,
Felix

I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm using Arch Linux, too. However my JDK version is 1.7 (OpenJDK ArchLinux build 7.u5_2.2.1-1-x86_64).

Have you tried the Juno Classic release to see if the problem exists there too?

I wonder if there is an issue specific to a bundle in the EE distro.

It didn't change anything.
