Some text in charts are not anti-aliased [message #885853] |

When rendering a chart in a report, some of the text is anti-aliased and some is not. The title, for example, is anti-aliased. However, the axis labels, series labels, and legend entries are not (see attached file). Is there a way to force all text to be anti-aliased for charts?
I am using BIRT 3.7.2.

I have tried SVG, JPG, PNG, and BMP as output formats for the chart.
When I render the report with output format PNG in web viewer, it also renders the chart with text that is not anti-aliased. However, when I render it with SVG in the web viewer, the fonts are anti-aliased. Same behavior on export to PDF - with SVG output format, fonts look good - otherwise, they do not.
Perhaps the browser/pdf viewer knows how to render the fonts properly for SVG-defined images, but when the report engine generates a binary image file it does not?
Also, I am running on Mac OS X 10.7.3.
