Do you guys have any plans to provide an action for comparing screen shots?

While this isn't a preferred method of testing output, our application makes used of Java3D and we were looking at a simple way of verifying graphical output as part of a Jubula test case. The use case would be:

1. Perform test setup
2. Capture screen shot, only capturing the Java3D rendering region.
3. Compare this screen shot to saved screenshot. This comparison could be a simple pixel-wise comparison.

Our current intention is to use the executeExternalCommand action to do this, but I think would be a useful feature to have built into Jubula.

We have looked into this and actually have evaluated a toolkit which would support this kind of actions. Only problem: so many ideas, so little time! So it will be there sometimes in the (not too far but not immediate) future (meaning probably Kepler).

Again, if you can provide help or sponsor the development, things will go faster.
