Eclipse Juno creating files and directories in my home [message #882536]

I'm trying out Juno with a shared install (all of the install is non-writable) which was working fine in Indigo and Helios. It still works ok for Juno except it's creating files and folders straight into my home (not ~/.eclipse) Files include artifacts.xml, p2/, features/.

Any ideas?
