Parameter in TPTP HTTP Recordings [message #116098] Sun, 21 October 2007 04:06 Go to next message

Hello,

I' trying to understand TPTP for automatic web testing and so far I'm able
to us TPTP HTTP recording for static webtesting. I did document my
understanding here: http://www.vogella.de/articles/EclipseTPTP/article.html

I would like to use dynamic parameters in the webtesting. For example lets
assume I would like to test https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/. In the recording
I search for bug 123 but in the test execution I would like to search for a
given list of bugs feading this list one by one to the HTTP recording.

Can you please give me a hint if and how this is possible?

Best regards, Lars

P.S. In case this question is too easy I'm sorry but I just started with
TPTP.

Hi,

See the TPTP product tutorial on using Datapools. You should be able to
modify your test to loop and substitute the data in the request with the
values in a datapool.

I apologize for not responding sooner. Hope this helps and thanks for
your interest in TPTP.
