if I'm using a bundle pool, what about the dropins folder ?
can I also share it ?
I think I can put parameters into the config.ini to point to the
locations of the watched folder (dropins)
and the location of the bundle pool, but I didn't found the names
of these params

ok - in the meantime I found out how to work with shared installations
(bundle pool).
as i can see at the moment it looks like the dropins folder isn't shared
and placed parallel to the eclipse installations which share the bundle
pool.
I dont found out how to change the location of the dropins folder or ow
to add more watched directories.
there were also some difficulties with shared bundle pool - I'll log
about it this weekend.

I also answered myself the question about shared dropins - it works
using
-Dorg.eclipse.equinox.p2.reconciler.dropins.directory=/<your_path_to_shared_dropins_folder >
it works:
your eclipse has an own dropins folder - automatically searched at startup
and a second watched directory - and this you can share between eclipse
installations
....I'll blog about this
