First, this question is better posed in the Eclipse web tools forum.

Second, it's far too vague to tempt anyone to answer it. Please be more
specific.

I have a whole host of articles at http://www.javahotchocolate.com that
you might look at. These are mostly notes I've taken at different stages
of learning to write web applications in Eclipse. You'll get parts of
the whole in this or that article.

Also, hands-down the best quick tutorials on this and many other Eclipse
topics are at http://www.vogella.de. Try there too.

By downloading Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers as well as 1) a proper
Sun JDK and 2) a Tomcat from Apache, then hooking all three up in the
way noted at the link below, you get a fully functional integration of
Eclipse, the JDK and Tomcat, ready to develop web applications.

Since i have read your articles about configing tomcat, the question above is no longer a question to me now.And my tomcat configing was as same as you said in the article.
Let me describe my problem this way: i have web app A,and when it start it would output some information i set in the code for telling me if all get ok.i got A run within myeclipse B,it goes well. Then i got A run within eclipse C,information from C' console told me ok and no other error showed. but i type my A's url in browser,it reported 404 error.

I'm not able to debug web.xml/HTTP 404/etc. issues via this forum,
mostly because you've not given enough detail. However, this is not the
forum for that. Instead, you should ask in the Eclipse web tools forum
AND give a lot more detail than you're giving.
