Minimal jars for deployment [message #756494] Sun, 13 November 2011 21:40 Go to next message

Hi --

From what I read, for deployment of BIRT in a webapp, we should add 'all' the jars from BIRT's run-time lib to the webapp's classpath. It would be nice if I could add these jars to our WEB-INF/lib directory, but it seems that some of the jars are just not needed. For example, the derby jar doesn't seem to make sense for us.

Can you recommend a minimal set of jars that need to be incorporated into a webapp?

Thanks,
Dan

This will depend on what features you are using. If you look at the dtp
plugins you can remove datasources you will not be using in addition to
the derby db as you have already noticed. Other than those I do not see
any that can be removed.
