Display workspace-located image [message #753956] Mon, 31 October 2011 03:52 Go to next message

Hi folks,

I'm relatively new to Graphiti and came to the point that I want to display an image that is located in my workspace. As far as I see the images registered with an IImageProvider have to be located in the plugin itself, since AbstractUIPlugin.imageDescriptorFromPlugin(...) is used for opening the files.

Is there currently a "official" way of adding images that are located somewhere else?

Thanks a lot for your work,

Bernhard

Have a look at ImageDescriptor.createFromURL(fullPathString).

Michael
