Hi, this is a test using opera nntp, please ignore.
Have been having trouble lately with Thunderbird with intermittent loss of
username/password.
As I am not enjoying getting the same user/password question 100 times (or
so) until Thunderbird snaps out of it, I am now looking for a different
client. Opera is sort of decent - at least it does not ask for the
username/password more than once.

Just in case someone is interested - Thunderbird 8 is seriously flawed
wrt usernames/passwords. The latest release is slightly better, but it
keeps loosing the username/password and when it does this it also marks
all articles as unread !
The trick to make it work is to answer the (now) 2 prompts for
username/password *and* mark that the password manager should be used to
save it. Failing to do so for the first two prompts will result in being
asked over and over again. (Restart, and answer the two prompts if that
is the case).
