Why is the addition of data via Excel is discouraged? [message #730981] Thu, 29 September 2011 16:20 Go to next message

I see this note in the user manual:

The addition of data via Excel is discouraged. We recommend using the central data sets in Jubula to manage data within the Project 3.9.8.

Could someone elaborate on this?

I find it difficult working with central data sets. For example, I can't copy and paste a row of data, etc.

The only drawback I found so far using an excel spreadsheet is the fact that I can't see actual data in my test cases until I run them and check the test results.

The drawback you mentioned is pretty much the reason - problems with data aren't found until runtime.

Best regards,
Alex
