How to open a modal MessageDialog from a ProgressMonitorDialog? [message #723564] Thu, 08 September 2011 16:06 Go to next message

Hello,

I'm writting an RCP application. At some point, I launch a long running operation via an IRunnableWithProgress class from a ProgressMonitorDialog. In this IRunnableWithProgress sometimes I want to prompt the user for values or confirm the action. I'd like to do that with a MessageDialog but if I do that I get the usual "Invalid thread access" exception, which I understand but I don't know how to get rid of it. Any idea?

Thanks,
