Headless testing [message #723542] Thu, 08 September 2011 14:46 Go to next message

When a test is invoked through test driver with <testsuite><entry> specified in the config, the AUT will be launched and then tested, but if <testjob> is used to specify the tests instead, testexec does not attempt to launch the AUT. It seems to expect the AUT is already launched and ready to test. Is this behavior intended? If so, what is the reasoning for the difference?

Hi,

At least for the moment, this behaviour is intended, yes. It is described in the manual here:
http://help.eclipse.org/indigo/topic/org.eclipse.jubula.client.ua.help/html/manual/node254.html

I haven't been able to find an enhancement request to alter this, so feel free to enter one.

Hope that helps!
Alex
