Can someone tell me, how to pass a java.sql.date or java.util.date to birt report from a jsf page. Or how to modify birt date to accept string as parameter and convert to date

From JSF if you format the string like the designer parameter is
expecting it should work as a date. I believe by default it is looking
for yyyy-MM-dd. If you can give some more detail we may be able to help
more. BIRT can convert strings to dates on the fly but where it is done
will depend on how it is used.
