How do I remove obsolete or unwanted perspectives in the "next-perspective" dialog? [message #718572] |

When I press Ctrl-F8, that executes "next-perspective" which gives me the ability to quickly switch to another perspective. At the present time, there are perspective choices in this dialog that I don't care to ever switch to again, and there's even one corresponding to a plugin that isn't even installed anymore. How do I remove choices from this dialog?

That list is based on the perspectives that you currently have open.
Unless you've changed the default UI layout, the list of perspectives is
located in the upper-right corner of the Eclipse window. You can
right-click on a perspective and choose Close.

This partially worked. There are two perspectives in that list that I don't care to see anymore. One of them is associated with a plugin that I still have installed, and another one is associated with a plugin that I uninstalled a long time ago (it has a default icon on it). When I selected "Close" on the former, it dutifully left the perspectives list in the upper-right and in the Ctrl-F8 list. However, the persistent one is still persistent. Selecting "Close" on that item does nothing to either the upper-right perspectives list or the Ctrl-F8 list.
