Hi,

Recently I discovered that there is work in progress for the C++ code
reviewer.
We are pehaps interested in adding some rules.

I have some questions

1. Is there more documentation of this project ?
Plans ?
Milestones ?
Implementation details ?

2. As far as I see, it is not compatible with Eclipse 3.1 ne ?

Would be nice if somebody can aswer this question.

Steve Gutz would have to respond to the first item. As for the second
item... yes, the new stuff is a part of TPTP 4.2 which is closely
associated with Eclipse 3.2 ... these being 2 of the 10 projects in the
upcoming "Callisto release". Again Steve would be the one to speak on
just what the incompatibilities are that make the static analysis
project depend on Eclipse 3.2, and what is possible with Eclipse 3.1.

I'll give him a nudge and see if he can speak to the questions better.

Hi Sascha,

1. We don't have any official plans or roadmap for C++ at this point but now
that Java has been conquered we are starting to put more thought and effort
into this. Since the analysis

We have recently added about 25 new rules and have another 20 ready for TPTP
4.2.1 when the stream opens. The current focus is to implement most of the
rules defined in "Effective C++" plus a few other rules that we've grown to
love.

2. You are correct. You need Eclipse 3.2 which will be officially released
fairly soon. I don't think there is anything 3.2 specific though.
