Connection onMouseOver? [message #709052] Wed, 03 August 2011 09:01 Go to next message

Hi,

having all the mouse and key handling encapsulated in Graphiti gives the users a fast start. But is it possible to change the (hidden) interaction concepts at all?

Example: For complex diagram layouts I want to have any connection show a different color/style, while the mouse is hovering over the connection line. This makes tracing the connection very comfortable. Can I do something like that in Graphiti? And if so, where to start?

Ciao, Michael

Hi Michael,

you may have a look at org.eclipse.graphiti.ui.internal.parts.ConnectionEditPart. I think, you have add here a EditPolicy that handles the highlighting. EditPolicy is actually a GEF concept, and a similar forum entry can be found here.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Joerg
