Encrypted values in the .properties files [message #695448] Mon, 11 July 2011 15:05 Go to next message

Hi all,

What would be the best approach to store some values encrypted in a configuration artifact as database password?

Ref : www.eclipse.org/virgo/documentation/virgo-documentation-3.0.0.x/docs/virgo-programmer-guide/html/ch04s04.html

I started to read on Jasypt ( www.jasypt.org/encrypting-configuration.html ) and I'm trying to see how I could use it with VIRGO, but if someone has already done it and as some good examples, could you share it with us ?

Any other way would be nice too ?

Thanks, Benoit

You can use a Java keystore http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/security/KeyStore.html
