Hello everybody,

I've just tested Riena on RAP and got lot's of issues. So, can anybody help me to run a right working project with Riena(RCP) and Riena(RAP) together? (A correct working project would be fine Very Happy

)
In attachment you can find a photograph of riena webapp. I don't know if it's working correctly...

Here are my steps:
1. Download Eclipse RCP Indigo
2. Setup target platform --> Chapter "Set up target platform for Riena on RAP apps"

2.1 Don't forget to include org.eclipse.riena.ui.swt.rap Wink

3. Download an example App from cvsroot/rt/riena
3.1 Example org.eclipse.riena.demo.client --> webapp doesn't work
3.2 Example org.eclipse.riena.sample.app.client.mail.mailapp
Only this webapp is working and the rest of the other projects won't
4. Update Run configurations + step 2.1

Hi Thomas,

what I see is a screenshot of a Riena on RAP application. The application itself is fairly simple so it does not have so
much content. :-)

The rendering is not perfect but you have all the main pieces.....I read you description

So what I am missing is the list of the "lot's of issues".

So maybe you can tell us what you are missing or what is an issue and we can give you hints whether that is that is a
bug or why that is happening....

Hi Christian,

thanks for quick reply. Riena RAP in the photograph isn't correct... the borders aren't to see?
I just wanted to know if the photograph/my project is working correctly.

I think the most of issues are associated by target platform. I need a bit time to come clear.

Ok what I see from the screen shot are a number of issues.....

- there is no logo
- there is no title bar in the workarea on the right (there should be a title bar on top of "Subject....." that says "Inbox"
- there are no borders around a number of items in the navigation tree
- some more lines missing on the bottom in the statusline

We are aware of the missing border lines. The reason is a limitation in RAP which does not do paint events. However
lines are drawn on the GC with paint which simply does not happen in RAP. So we need to look for an alternative approach
in the RAP environment. (probably the same in the statusline.

The usual way would / should be that you open bugs in bugzilla for all things that bother you and we take it from there.
I know the title bar used to work and I am not really sure why it doesnt. I think I also saw the logo in the past, but I
am not sure about that.

So please open bugs (one bug per issue that you see) and we track, discuss possible solutions right there....
