I was using Eclipse BIRT 2.6.0 to create a report. my database is SQL 2000. By installing sqljdbc.jar 4, I have no problem to create data sources connection. The Birt report run fine from BIRT designer. After the report was deployed to the BIRT viewer, it did not work any more.when the report run, an error as below occur. any help will be appreciated.
org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.EngineException: An exception occurred during processing. Please see the following message for details: Cannot open the connection for the driver: org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc. There is an error in get connection, Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0..
