Mylyn/Trac Authentication Failing... [message #68193] Thu, 23 April 2009 13:39 Go to next message

I just upgraded from Eclipse 3.3 and Mylyn 2.4 and the latest official
Mylyn Release (3.1.1.v20090411-0400.e3x) is not able to authorize with my
Trac installation.

Looking at the HTTP headers, it's not sending the basic authentication
header that my older version of Mylyn is, so the servers sending back a
401 status code.

I'm trying to upgrade to one of the weekly builds of Mylyn, but seem to be
having problems getting the dependencies installed.

A couple of notes on my Trac install:

* I'm using Windows Authentication
* Apache 2.4
* Self-signed SSL cert
* Trac 0.10.4

Any suggestions on how to resolve my issues?

I finally was able to install 3.2 weekly update, but that didn't work for
me either.

I was able to get it working by rolling back completely to v3.0.5 (the
default install with my install of Eclipse v3.4. I did this by going
through and manually disabling and uninstalling all Mylyn plug-ins but the
original 3.0.5.

At this point I'm a bit afraid to upgrade to other versions to see if
things are working (since I've killed the better part of today getting
Mylyn running again.)

Dan, please file a bug and provide additional details about your server
setup to help diagnose the problem further:

Steffan,

I think this is actually related to this bug:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=269323

I did try upgrading to v3.2, but I had the same results.

I just added comments to the above ticket, but if you want me to, I'll
open up a completely new ticket (they just appeared to be the same issue.)
