Status of XDebug Support for PDT [message #6033] Tue, 13 March 2007 19:16 Go to next message

Just thought I would post an update about XDebug support for PDT.
I have been waiting for PDT 0.7 to be released (was due end of feb, now appears to be sometime
in march according to the web page) before I released another version as the PDT apis are changing
and that makes it difficult to keep up with integration builds.

The next version will have
1. Support _SESSION super global (present in newer versions of XDebug)
2. fix the issue with JRE 6.0 and NullPointerException with String variables
3. Add an extension point to allow allow path mappers to be provided without having to modify the
base source code
4. provide a simple path mapper example.

Sounds Really Good (and Xdebug is the only debugger that really worked..
on my dev machine ....)

Hello Dave

Glad to hear this. Your XDebug plugin works better for me then the Zend
Debugger.
Keep up the good work.

A happy user
